How much of a jump is considered decent for the MCAT?

Hello,

I recently took my MCAT for a second time, and my score went up from a 494 (Sept 2015) to a 498 (Jan 2016). I know that my scores are not outstanding, and I am not aiming for top tier schools at all, knowing that they are out of scope. However, is this 4 point jump okay??

How much of a jump between MCAT retakes is decent to see?
