Looking to improve in the case that I need to re-apply

I applied to 13 MD schools relatively late this cycle, have received one upcoming interview from one of my state schools, three post-secondary rejections from my reach schools, one pre-interview hold at Albany, and silence from the others. I know that I should have applied earlier, but here I am. If need be, obviously I will be submitting my application ASAP next cycle.
