I hope everyone is doing well! As of right now, my plan is to apply next cycle. I'd like to apply primarily MD, but if I need to I have no problem applying to DO programs as well.

Here's what I have to work with so far:
  • MCAT: 512 (128/129/126/129)
  • cGPA: 3.52, sGPA: 3.47
    • Pretty decent trend here. My yearly GPA increased as follows: 3.14, 3.45, 3.80, 3.77
  • African-American male from Massachusetts

Hi! I'm a fairly new pre-med, I was going to do a PhD in engineering, but then after a CNA-type job, decided I really wanted to be a doctor. My school list is limited, if you know anything about schools with good tissue engineering programs, I'd like to know, I plan on doing an MD/PhD if I can get in. I think my ECs are also a bit lack luster, but I have a few more months to work on those before I apply next cycle, so I'd also like your comments on how I might improve those.

Hi all!

I applied in early July and was complete for most of my schools by the middle/end of July. I just got waitlisted at my only interview so far, and am considering adding more schools to my already stupidly high count of 47. I would appreciate any feedback on what schools I should add, including both MD and DO schools.

I know I have applied to a ton of schools. I am worried that I grossly overestimated myself or there is a red flag in my application. This process makes me nervous...

Hi all,

I got my MCAT score recently and it was a 510 (130/123/129/128) which was lower than my AAMC FLs (lowest being 513). Obviously, the CARS score is not the best, but I wanted advice to see what I should expect this year.

Just received a R today less than one month after secondary submission. Starting to question my primary and secondary application. Non-trad student with 3.96 post-bacc gpa, 516 mcat, and 3.86sGPA/3.71 cGPA. Anyone feel like they didn't convey their story well enough on the secondaries or activities section of the primary?

How to create a school list as a reinventor/WAMC?

I have been researching the method for creating a school list. The only problem is that I feel this advice does not quite apply to me since I'm a reinventor student. I'm genuinely confused as to if I should be applying all DO or low/mid-tier MD and DO. What criteria should I be looking for when choosing schools?

cGPA: 3.27 (significant upward trend of ~90 credits @ 3.9)
AMCAS sGPA: 3.03
