Hi everyone. I've lurked on here for a while -- so much information! Thanks to everyone that has posted advice. Your suggestions have helped me make this list. This is for 2018-2019 application cycle.

I am mostly looking for advice on schools that I have overlooked.

This is my first time posting on something like this, so please bear with me. I graduated in 2010 with a BA in psychology and achieved a modest 2.5 gpa. I transferred three times in my undergrad career and couldn’t seem to find a home during that stage of my life. Not gonna draw this out...

GPA: 3.3 cumulative from UVA, didn't necessarily have a bad year, and finished last year with 3.9. Understood the material, just apparently not for test days.
MCAT: Haven't taken it yet. From practice tests, I am projected to score about 512-515.
Extracurricular: I've been an EMT for three years, am captain of my squad, and teach the EMT course at the station. I am also a firefighter (few years) and am a training leader at my station. This is all volunteer.

Northeastern student here.

So I started college really confident that I would do well and thinking I would have a 3.9 to 4.0 GPA by the time I applied to medical school. I have a 3.67 right now in my sophomore year and having taken 66 credits and most of the pre-reqs.

What happened?

4 B's happened, with 3 of them in the pre-reqs. B in physics 2, B- in Stat, B in Biology 2. Everything else is A or A- except for First Year Writing, which is B as well.

Why did I get B's knowing I could get...

Hello everyone, I'm currently in my third year of studies at a remarkable HBCU. My current major is Sustainability and Agriculture with an emphasis on Biology and Chemistry. I know my low GPA is rather alarming but I can make up for it with a really high mcat. My goal is 99th percentile and my practice I have been scoring around 515. Will try to keep this short...

I am a third-time applicant in Michigan. Currently waitlisted at one school where I have interviewed all three times I've applied and I'm not assuming I will be accepted. No other interviews yet this cycle. I told myself this was my last go-round as I need to be able to move on with my life and my career (fiance also has his life on hold which isn't fair to him), but I can't see myself doing anything else and honestly don't want to live the rest of my life...

I am looking for suggestions on how to build a more competitive portfolio for applying to a medical school. I went to a community college where I earned a total of 73 credits and a 3.4 GPA.
I then transferred to a university and did not have a smooth transfer. During this time I took most of my pre-requisites. For the longest time, I always had a 2.8-2.9 overall GPA at the university. Long time creeper, first time poster.
I have a pretty low GPA- 3.2 from UCB, with a downward trend as I had to start working about 30-40 hrs/week while I was attending school. I got a double major (Bio and History) so my unit load was pretty high every semester. Hello all,

Usually lurk around here, but wanted to see how I'm doing so far/ how I can improve.
I'm a Canadian applicant, a senior at a school in Vancouver. Math+Chemistry combined major.

TLDR: Re-applicant from 2016-2017 cycle wondering about chances at top / mid-tier programs given re-applicant bias. Planning to re-apply for 2019 matriculation. Mainly wondering if anyone has anecdotes of successful re-applicants at such programs. Improved MCAT 6 points between cycles and did more volunteering / research / shadowing.
