I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have looked around and not seen an international to US subforum. I apologize if I missed it and hope this can be moved.

I am currently about to be a junior in undergrad and I currently have a 3.89 cumulative gpa but after this semester I believe I am going to receive a C+ in organic chemistry 1 which will drop me down to a 3.82/3.83 cumulative gpa. So I know this is a little redundant, but most other threads aren't the complete criteria I am looking for.

I graduated this past December and just recently started looking into medical school and taking the MCAT. I'm taking the MCAT in late August, and I know by then it will be too late to apply for MD but will I still have a good opportunity for DO if I do well? Also can I apply ahead of time without my MCAT just to have it processed right when the score becomes available?

Hi! I'm looking for some advice about my school list and general chances. I know that my extra-curriculars are lacking, and I'm not sure how much that will affect my chances at top schools. I am planning to apply this cycle, and I don't really want to take a gap year. I feel like my school list might be too top heavy, but I'm not sure where else I should apply because of OOS bias. Hi! So I want to apply this summer, but I am concerned about my chances of getting into any allopathic schools (low sGPA). I am planning on applying to osteopathic schools, but are there any allopathic schools that I have a shot at, or would I just be wasting time/money?

Student athlete: What are my chances of getting into a MD or DO program?

I am a three season (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track) DI student athlete with a 3.4 overall and a 3.1 science GPA. I know these are low, but they are due to athletics and having very little time. My other activities include having shadowed a physician, TAing, and a completing a research project based on a NIH funded summer scholarship program. I haven't taken the MCAT yet but plan to next month. Do I have a shot at getting in somewhere?

How lethal would a 500-504 mcat be for state school with
~3.7+ gpas, includes 2 online prereqs
3 years full time emergency medicine PA
4 years full time paramedic
2 years part time ems instructor for a state uni bachelors program and PA student lead clinical preceptor at hospital
300+ hrs of nonclinical volunteering


I thought I was doing better than that but just took the AAMC FL #1 and got a 502. I'm scheduled for May 18.

Hello everyone!
I'm currently a junior in college and unfortunately my science gpa and overall gpa are too low to apply to medical school straightaway so I have been considering applying to a post bacc or SMP as a gap year after graduation.
