Going to be a re-applicant next year. Attended Columbia undergrad and majored in neuroscience, and after 2 years of post-bacc coursework, I have a 3.3/3.2 cGPA and sGPA, respectively.

MCAT scores: 506/502 (fire alarm went off at test center)/508. FL resident. non-URM, bilingual. Some research, no publications. ~80 hours of shadowing and ~70 hours clinical volunteering.

Will be attending EVMS Medical Master's Program (1 year). What else can I do in the meantime? I will be taking more...

How important is shadowing? I have no traditional shadowing experience because it has not been easy to find a willing physician, but I work extensively with doctors and patients full time (will be 2 years by the time I matriculate) in a cardiac clinical research position.

I feel that I have a good sense of what a medical career entails by spending time in the clinic, ICU, in meetings where cases are presented, going through records, and interacting with people. I have watched...

My college, University of California, Riverside, won't let me advance in math courses because I'm an Anthropology Major and it's not required. I can't because of this even advance into science courses (bio, chem, ochem, physics, etc.) and this really messes up my dreams of attending medical school. I have OCD and need some advice as to whether I should retake a class or not to try to get an A. I got a B+ in GLY 2010 a 3 credit course with no lab during my freshman year. Other than that class, I have gotten an A-/A in all my other courses. I transferred to a different school that was closer to my home after my freshman year and they offer GLY 2010C a 4 credit course with a lab and GLY 2010 with no lab online.
